PETER ALLAN TAYLOR

Peter Taylor GMShropshire Provincial Grand Master

Peter Allan Taylor was born in 1944 and educated at Queen Mary’s Grammar School, Walsall.   He graduated as a Bachelor of Laws from London University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1977.   He was appointed Deputy District Judge for the Midlands Circuit in 1991.

He was initiated into Idsall Lodge No. 7133 in 1979 and became its Worshipful Master in 1991.   He has served the Province as Provincial Grand Sword Bearer, Provincial Grand Registrar and Deputy Provincial Grand Master under a patent granted in 2002.  He holds the rank of Past Grand Sword Bearer in the United Grand Lodge of England.


ROGER BRENTNALL PEMBERTON

Roger PembertonShropshire Deputy Provincial Grand Master Born 1951 in Cheshire , but moved to the seaside resort of Colwyn Bay at the age of two. Went to school at Merton House, Penmaenmawr and afterwards at Abergele Grammar School before winning a place at Christ Church, Oxford where he gained an MA in English Language and Literature.

Roger moved to Shropshire in 1980 to set up a company importing and distributing into the automotive aftermarket. After 30 years he sold the business to an American company and Roger retired to an even more hectic career. He is currently Chairman of Relate, Shropshire and Herefordshire, a Director of The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and of The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Roger joined The Roden Lodge in 1988 and became WM in 1998. He was Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 2003, Provincial Senior Grand Warden in 2007 and was honoured by the RtWPrGM with the office of Deputy Provincial Grand Master in 2011. In 2010 Roger was invested as an Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in Grand Lodge. In the Royal Arch, Roger is a member of The Roden Chapter and was invested as PPrGSoj in 2005 and as PrGJ in 2010. In 2011 he became PrGH for Shropshire . He is also a member of FitzAlan Lodge No 1432, Dinorben Lodge No 8580 (North Wales) and Shropshire Installed Masters’ Lodge No 6262. He is also a member of the North Shropshire Mark Lodge No 840 and the North Shropshire Royal Ark Mariners Lodge No 840.

His hobbies include Opera, Classical Music and working his Springer Spaniel. Roger is married to Monica who after a career as a Barrister is now an Appeal Judge in the Immigration Tribunal. He has three children, Myles, a Marketing Manager, and Emma and Alexandra who are both schoolteachers.


DAVID JOHN KETTLE

Dave KettleShropshire Provincial Grand Secretary

David John Kettle, (although he prefers to be called Dave) was born in 1953 in Birmingham and educated at Bournville Boys Grammar Technical School. He later attained an LLB Degree at Birmingham Polytechnic and a Cert.Ed from Canterbury Christ Church College. Following a career in the Birmingham City Police and West Midlands Police he retired with the rank of Superintendent in 2002. He then operated a successful Training Consultancy until finally retiring from full time employment in 2009. He has been happily married to Cheryl since 1978 and they have one daughter, Sonia.

He was Initiated in Old Dixonians Lodge No 6037 in Warwickshire in 1987 becoming it’s Master in 1993. He is also a member of, and has been Master of,  the Wernlegh Abbey Lodge No 6356 in Worcestershire and the Caer Caradoc Lodge No 6346 in Shropshire. He is also a Member of the Shropshire Installed Masters Lodge No 6262. He is a Past First Principal of the Caer Caradoc Chapter No 6346 and is also a member of the Shropshire Installed First Principals Chapter No 6262.  He is a Past Provincial Grand Officer in Warwickshire and Worcestershire and, in Shropshire, he was appointed Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary and Provincial Assistant Grand Scribe Ezra in April 2007. He was promoted to Provincial Grand Secretary and Provincial Grand Scribe Ezra in 2011.  He is also active in Mark, Royal Ark Mariners, Order of Secret Monitor and Rose Croix.


JOHN FRANCIS WILLIAMSON

John Francis WilliamsonDeputy Grand Superintendent Provincial Grand Chapter

John Williamson was born in 1946 into a Shropshire farming family, he was educated in Bridgnorth and Harper Adams University College before continuing in the family farming tradition.  John is happily married to Ann and has two children, a daughter Joanne, a son Andrew and 4 grand children. He is semi retired and now takes great delight in watching and helping his son Andrew continue to expand the farming business.  John has been associated with the Shropshire Machinery Ring since its inception and has served on the board for 20 years being vice chairman for a number of years. He is also a local assessor for the N.F.U. Mutual insurance company.  John’s Masonic commitments for the past 20 plus years have left little time for other hobbies but he enjoys walking and holidays with his wife Ann.  John was Initiated into Cleobury Lodge No.6972 in 1976 where he became Master in 1989. He served as Pr.D.G.D.C. in 1993, as Pr.G.D.C. 1999 to 2003, as Pr.S.G.W. in 2003. He was made P.A.G.D.C. in United Grand Lodge of England in 2003.  John was exalted into Venables Chapter No.611 in 1978 where he became M.E.Z. in 1996. He served as Pr.D.G.D.C. in 1998, as Pr.G.D.C. in 2004 and was made Deputy Grand Superintendant in 2005. He was made P.G Swd.B. in Supreme Grand Chapter in 2005.
